Trencherfield Mill Engine.

I had the privilege of being invited to photograph the still-working Mill Engine, which was installed by the firm of John and Edward Wood of Bolton in the cotton factory in 1907, using 2500 Horsepower to run the machines over 5 storeys.

It is maintained by Bill The Mill, a former Royal Navy Engineer who has operated the machinery for the past 10 years.

I took the wide-angle images using my Fuji X-H1 and Fuji 10-24mm lens mounted on a  3LeggedThing tripod and Formatt-Hitech filters for long exposures.

I used the same camera handheld with a Fuji 35mm lens for the detail images.
