Johnson's Hillock, Chorley

This area of the Leeds/Liverpool Canal between Chorley and Wheelton climbs through 7 locks from Bottom Lock No.64 to Top Lock No.58.

I spent a very enjoyable hour and a half climbing up and back through this series of Locks, so here are the results.

As usual, I spent much of my time looking for details, rather than the wider picture, and I used my new Fuji 50-140mm lens for the first time.

Amazing how different weather affects the same area........

I've gone for Black and White with these images as I feel it adds to the mood created by the conditions.

Poolstock Freeze

Another week on, and the Flashes and Canal are in the grip of an even icier spell.
The small Flash next to Pearsons is completely frozen over, and even the Canal near Bridge 2 is frozen, having had no traffic over recent days!
