Billinge Plantation, a Woodland Trust area.

I only discovered this local site last year, so decided to visit just as Autumn is approaching to catch the change.

It was an extremely windy afternoon with acorns and branches flying about, so my visit was shorter than planned!

I used my Fuji X-T1 with two manual lenses, a lovely old Asahi 50mm and a Samyang 12mm.

Long Wall Wood Sunset, Winstanley

With the promise of another clear Sunset, I went to the local Wood known as 'Long Wall', part of the Winstanley Estate, and originally completely surrounded by a boundary wall, hence the name!

The Sun was very low but created good shadows at the highest part of the Wood still exposed.
