Scarisbrick

Josie and I parked at Scarisbrick Marina for our walk. It opened in March 2009 with moorings for up to 200 boats. The cafe serves wonderful 'home-cooked' food and delicious cakes, and with sunny outside seating is a lovely place to visit.
We walked the Leeds/Liverpool canal Eastwards towards Burscough, but found ourselves wandering into the woods at the side of the Canal. It was only when we came out that we saw the 'Private Property' signs nailed to the trees!!
Ooops!!!

to see the tree they cut down ten years from your birth.
Our fingers traced in circles round its history,
we brushed our hands right back in time through centuries."
